1. Operator and contact
Ekadem is operated by the entity in the Legal Notice. Privacy questions and parent requests: privacy@ekadem.com. The School must give this notice to parents in an accessible form before children use the service.
2. Information collected
For a school-managed child, Ekadem may collect name, school email or pseudonymous account ID; school/class membership; lessons, assignments, answers, work, progress, scores and feedback; classroom communications; limited device/security information; and files, images, drawings, voice or prompts only when an enabled feature requires them. The School identifies the age range it serves at institution level; Ekadem does not require an exact birth date or a separate age-band record for each child. We do not ask a child for more information than reasonably necessary to participate.
3. How it is collected and used
Information comes from the School/teacher, the child’s use, enabled integrations and automatic security logs. It is used only to provide, personalize, secure and support the School’s requested educational service. AI content is sent only through the approved school route. School data is not sold, used for targeted advertising, unrelated profiling or general model training.
4. Disclosure and public features
Relevant information is visible to authorized School users and contracted providers in the Subprocessor Schedule. A School can enable sharing/collaboration; it must choose the audience and explain it to families. Ekadem does not make a child’s profile or contact details publicly searchable by default. Legal disclosure is limited as described in the DPA.
5. School authorization
By signing or electronically accepting, the authorized School representative confirms that: the School requests Ekadem for students’ benefit and legitimate educational purposes; it has authority to provide consent on the parent’s behalf for that limited school context; it has reviewed this notice and the operator’s practices; it will make the notice available to parents; and it will obtain any additional parent consent its law/policy requires. This authorization does not cover consumer, marketing or unrelated commercial use.
6. Parent and School controls
The School can review the child’s information, request correction/export/deletion, disable features and stop further collection by ending the account. A parent may contact the School or Ekadem. Ekadem verifies with the School to protect the child and responds within the applicable period. A School can revoke authorization; collection stops and data is deleted/returned under the record schedule unless law requires retention.
7. Operator responsibility
The School’s authorization does not transfer Ekadem’s COPPA duties to the School. Ekadem remains responsible for notice accuracy, data minimization, security, provider restrictions, retention and honoring verified review/deletion rights.
