Frequently asked questions
Is the mock exam generator free?
You can start for free with a free Ekadem account. No credit card required. If you sit mock exams all the time, Plus gives you a much bigger AI allowance.
What is an AI mock exam?
A practice exam paper written from your own material. It covers the whole syllabus the way a real paper does, you sit it closed-book, and it comes back marked with a score and feedback on what to revise.
How do I make a mock exam from my notes?
Upload your notes, slides or a PDF, and Ekadem turns them into a course. Open the course, choose Mock Exam, and your paper is written for you. Start it whenever you’re ready.
What kinds of questions are on it?
Multiple choice, gaps to fill, tables to complete and written answers, grouped into sections that go from recall to reasoning. Most questions ask you to apply and explain what you know, not just repeat it, and the wrong options in multiple choice are the mistakes students actually make.
How is it marked?
Answers with one right answer are marked straight away. Written answers are marked by AI against a model answer. You get your score, every answer marked, an examiner’s note and the areas to look into next. AI marking can be wrong, so look again at anything that seems off.
Can I sit the same mock exam again?
Yes. Resit the paper as often as you like and see whether you’ve beaten your best score.
Will it be like my real exam?
It’s written the way an examiner writes one: closed-book, no hints, and covering everything in your material. It can’t know the exact paper you’ll get, so use it to find out what you don’t know yet.
Does it work for maths and science?
Yes. Questions use proper notation for formulas, ask you to show your working, and include diagrams where the subject needs them.
What languages does it work in?
Whatever language your material is in. The app itself is available in 58 languages.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Ekadem runs in the browser on phones, tablets and laptops, with nothing to install, and your work is wherever you sign in.
Do you train AI on my notes?
No. Your material isn’t used to train AI models, we don’t sell personal information and there are no ads. AI can still make mistakes, so check anything that’s going into an exam. The AI Transparency Notice has the details.
